Background
BASCO Foundation is a Non-profit, Non-political, Non-Governmental Socio-economic development Non-Government Organization (NGO) in Bangladesh. The organization established on January 07, 1999 by some dedicated social workers by the guidance of Dipak Kumar Roy, Founder and firstly registered from October 1999. It has been established for concerning the basic problems of the rural people especially the Children, distressed women and indigenous community. Who are the victims of illiteracy, ill health, unemployment, oppression, civic inertia & environmental hazards. It launched development programs aiming to assist to them in achieving socio-economic emancipation. It is also a animal welfare foundation.
It facilitates the resources of hard core poor specially the women to release their inherent potentials towards sustainable development through holistic integrated approach. The organization has been implementing several development projects since 1999 by Government of the People Republic of Bangladesh, National and International Donor and Organizations.
Management of organization
BASCO Foundation has been entrusted to an Executive Board members consisting with 07 (Seven) members and there are advisory board consists with 05 (five) members who are the dedicated person in the society. Executive Director appointed by Executive Board and executes all projects by the guidance of Executive Board. He/She will be liable to the Board.
Legal Status
BASCO Foundation is registered from Government of Bangladesh under the following department :
- Department of Social Service.
- Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA).
- Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Bangladesh.
- NGO Affairs Bureau.
